Welcome to FLYP’s YouTube Shopping Help Center. This page is for creators looking to link their YouTube channel with their FLYP merch store - so they can showcase products directly on YouTube and sell to fans without friction.

What Is FLYP x Youtube?

FLYP allows you to instantly turn your content into AI-powered merch. With our official YouTube Shopping integration, eligible creators can showcase FLYP products on YouTube across:

When fans click your merch, they’ll check out on FLYP - and we handle everything: payments, printing, shipping, customer service, and payouts.

YouTube Shopping Eligibility Requirements

To use YouTube Shopping with FLYP, you must meet these requirements from YouTube:

 

Products you want to showcase on your YouTube Channel must comply with YouTube Terms of Service, including these policies:

You must also comply with Google Shopping policies.

Violations of these terms and policies could result in suspension or termination of the merch shelf (including any related feature) or in account termination.

Working from Home

HOW TO GET STARTED

1) Set Up a Google Merchant Center Account (GMC)

To show your products on YouTube, you need a Google Merchant Center (GMC) account. This is how YouTube accesses your store and products.

 

How to create a GMC Account:

  1. Go to Google Merchant Center

  2. Click “Get Started” and log in with the same Google account linked to your YouTube channel

 

Set up your:

  • Business name & details

  • Country and language

  • Website verification (use your FLYP shop URL)

  • Agree to Google's policies and complete the setup wizard

  • Enable "Surfaces across Google" and "Shopping Ads"

 

You can manage your products directly in your FLYP dashboard — we automatically sync them to your GMC account behind the scenes.

2) Connect FLYP to YouTube

  1. Sign in to your YouTube Studio.

  2. Click Monetization > Shopping.

  3. In the Add products from your store section, click Connect store.

  4. Select FLYP, and then click Continue.

  5. On the new page that loads, click GO TO FLYP.

3) Link Your YouTube Channel to Your FLYP Shop

Connect your FLYP store to your YouTube channel via our onboarding flow.

 

Here’s how:

  1. Log into FLYP or create an account.

  2. Click “Connect to Youtube”

  3. Sign in with the Google account tied to your YouTube channel

  4. Select the channel you want to connect

  5. Grant FLYP the required YouTube permissions

  6. We’ll link your channel to your store

 

You’ll be redirected back to FLYP with your integration complete.

 

Once linked, your store and product feed are eligible to appear on your YouTube channel.

4) Creating and Publishing Products from FLYP

Once your YouTube channel is connected, FLYP auto-generates 8 AI-powered designs based on your channel’s content. These appear instantly in your My Products tab, ready to review and publish.

 

But that’s just the start - you can also create custom merch from any video URL or generate new designs using our built-in AI prompt tools.

 

How to Create New Merch Designs in FLYP:

Go to the Create tab in your FLYP dashboard and choose your design method:

  • Use a YouTube Video

    • Paste a video URL

    • FLYP will auto-generate 3–6 designs from the video

  • Use an AI Prompt

    • Select an AI style template 

    • Enter a text prompt (e.g. “neon robot gaming hoodie”) and upload a reference image

    • Hit Generate

 

Once your design is ready, it will appear in the My Products tab

 

All designs created on web are automatically saved as Drafts in your dashboard.

How to Publish Your Designs to YouTube
Once your designs are ready in FLYP, you can push them live to YouTube in just a few clicks.

  1. Click on the design you want to publish

  2. Select “Push to YouTube”

  3. We’ll sync that product to your Google Merchant Center

  4. It will appear in YouTube Studio > Earn > Shopping, ready to tag

Note: You can publish up to 30 products per channel for display via YouTube Shopping.

5) Tag Products in YouTube Studio

Once your channel is connected and your products are pushed to Youtube via FLYP, you can start tagging products directly in YouTube Studio.

 

To tag products in your videos:

  1. Open YouTube Studio

  2. Go to the Earn tab

  3. Navigate to the Shopping section

  4. Select a video or livestream

  5. Tag up to 30 products from your synced FLYP feed

 

You can also:

  • Pin products during livestreams

  • Rearrange product order

  • Feature products on your channel’s Store tab

What Happens After Setup?

Your products will be visible across YouTube surfaces like:

  • Video pages

  • Shorts

  • Livestreams

  • Channel Store tab

 

Fans can browse, click, and buy - we handle checkout, fulfillment, and support. You’ll get paid profit every month through your chosen payment method (set this up under FLYP Settings).

What Data does FLYP share with YouTube?

We share data about your FLYP account, including the number of purchases, number of page visits, retail price of items sold, total revenue and profit, and canceled orders. We do not share any personally identifiable information with YouTube.

TROUBLESHOOTING

My channel won’t connect

  • Make sure you're using the same Google account tied to your channel

  • Check your eligibility (verify here)

  • Ensure your FLYP account is properly synced with your GMC account

 
My products aren’t showing on YouTube

  • It can take up to 48 hours for new designs to appear

  • Ensure your products are live and have been pushed to Youtube from the Products Tab on FLYP. 

  • Designs flagged for policy issues (e.g. adult content, trademarks) won’t appear

 
I haven’t received payments

  • Make sure your payout account is fully set up in FLYP Settings - either via Stripe or Paypal.

  • Payments are processed as per FLYP’s payout schedule at the end of each month.

  • You can track product sales and store insights on the insights tab on the FLYP app.

 
My product was removed from YouTube
YouTube may remove products that violate:

  • Community Guidelines

  • Google Shopping or Ad policies

  • YouTube Paid Product Placement policies
